San Diego Padres (@Padres)Since the early '90s, San Diego has been easing blue into its uniforms until a total blue overhaul in mid-2000s. It also has dabbled in orange, yellow and other shades of brown since then.
Since the team's inception in 1969, the Padres have featured brown in some way. While it was a secondary color, it has made a return to prominence in their jerseys.
The team also announced a new military-themed jersey, which it will wear on Sundays at home in 2020.
Last night, we brought back the brown. Today and on every home Sunday during the season, we proudly represent our military, and here is how we will honor them for every game!
